Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University Study – Center

The study center of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University has been established at Sahebrao Shankarrao Dhamdhere Arts and Commerce College in 2005-06. The study center runs B.A and B.Com faculty. In the study center, students get excellent guidance from the teachers, and it helps the students to clear their doubts and difficulties. This center has tried to reach everyone from students to self- help groups in Talegaon Dhamdhere and in the vicinity. The study center is planning to guide students for job employment and competitive exams.

Those who could not complete their education due to various reasons have the opportunity to complete it through Y.C.M.O. University. “Dnyanganga Gharoghari” is the motto of the Y. C.M.O. University which means education to all and the study center at S.S.D. College of Y. C.M.O. University is serving for this cause.

Objectives of the study center –

 

  • Working people, or whose education is incomplete have the opportunity of education
  • Helping the students to achieve their goals.
  • Helping the students to become educationally strong.

Educational Eligibility

Anyone who have completed 18 years of age and fulfilling any of the following is eligible for admission for Y. C. M. O. U. Degree courses:

  • Those candidates who have not passed H.S.C. exam must have passed Y.C.M.O.U. Preparatory course.
  • Those who have passed H.S.C. (10 +2) exam of Maharashtra state Board or equivalent exams of other states are eligible to be admitted.
  • Those who have passed matriculation exam (S.S.C. before 1975)
  • Those who have completed government approved diploma courses of two years duration like D.C.E., D.M.E., D.Pharm., Dairy Tech., D.T., A.T.D., N.C.T.V.T., I.T.I., M.C.V.C. after S.S.C. exam are eligible to be admitted.
  • Those who have admitted in second year of D.T.Ed.
  • Those who have passed Y.C.M.O.U. Self –Help Group Prerak-Prerika Course
